Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Division (Policy Wing), Government of Pakistan, is hiring Director (Technical) in BPS-19 and Deputy Director (Technical) in BPS-18 on a two-year contract basis (extendable) with 4 vacancies each. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Mining, Electrical, Refining, Energy) or a 2nd class Master’s degree in Petroleum Geology, Geophysics, Geology, or Gas Technology. Directors require 12 years of petroleum experience (including 7 years in BPS-18), while Deputy Directors require 5 years of experience (including BPS-17 or equivalent), with a 5-year age relaxation already included in the age limits of 32–40 and 25–35 respectively. Responsibilities include monitoring oil/gas production, development plans, drilling operations, and preparing production reports, with provincial quotas for Punjab (2), Sindh Rural (1), and KPK (1) per position.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Domicile: Punjab, Sindh (Rural), KPK, or Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT)

• Qualifications (extensive list includes): BE/BSc in Mining, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical (Power/Telecom/General), Petroleum & Gas Engineering; BS in Applied Geology, Renewable Energy, Geophysics; MS/MPhil/MSc in Petroleum & Gas Engineering, Geology, Geophysics; also B.Tech (Hons) Electrical/Mechanical, Associate Degree in Electrical, and more as listed

• Experience:

  • *Director (BPS-19):* 12 years total petroleum experience (7 years in BPS-18 or equivalent)

  • *Deputy Director (BPS-18):* 5 years petroleum experience (BPS-17 or equivalent)

• Age: Director 32–40 years; Deputy Director 25–35 years (5-year relaxation already included)
